A Glimpse Of You

Verse 1
Oh the wonders of your love,
all that I can see,
Amazingly,
you are more than I can see,
with just a glimpse...

Chorus
A glimpse of you,
this heart of blue,
returns to you,
A glimpse of you,
and I'm brand new,
with just a glimpse of you.

Verse 2
Oh the failures that I make,
all that I can see,
Amazingly,
you have more than rescued me,
with just a glimpse...

(Chorus)

(Instrumental Bridge)

(Chorus 2x)

About the Song

All the love of God that we can ever possibly see... it all adds up to just a glimpse of Him. Just a mere glimpse of the amount of love He has. The love that He is. If we could truely see God with our own physical eyes it would kill us.. because he is soooo loving and in comparison with Him.. well there just isn't any comparison at all. He is good and we are not. Compared to each other, some of us are good and some are not. But compared to God.. none of us is even good at all! Not even the best person you know!

Sometimes we try so hard and we get so down on ourselves for not meeting our own expectations for ourselves. We may want to be so much better than we are. We may see other people as meeting those same expectations and yet we keep failing miserably at them. Then sometimes we think of God as looking sternly down at us, disappointed while smiling at others. But then if we get a glimpse of Him.. just a glimpse of His love for us.. our whole perspective can change! We just need to get to know Him better... in the bible. The bible is His love letter to us and encourages us. Just a glimpse of Him and His tremendous, true, & merciful love for us and our spirits are lifted and we are new people!

Sometimes all we can see is the failures we make. But if we would turn our eyes to His merciful love, we'd be amazed how much good that can do! Just a mere glimpse of His true love for us and we are more than rescued. We aren't just rescued and then left alone again. He is our helper. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to be our helper. We are rescued and loved.. with just a glimpse of the depth of love that He actually has for us. Just a glimpse of what we will see and experience in heaven.

So hold on.. and look for that glimpse of Him. He is our hope.. and our peace.
